- My goal is to create to a work of art that brings enjoyment whether it is being worn or displayed in some other manner.
I've been fascinated with jewelry and jewelry making my entire life. Along the way, I began a life-long love affair with Middle East dance - creating costumes and jewelry for dancers.
My Art You Can Wear designs are inspired by colors and textures I observe in nature - the ever-changing colors or the ocean in the Florida Keys, the colors and textures of the desert and mountains of the American southwest. My jewelry includes a number of weaving and wrapping techniques in both fiber and wire. Some of my pieces are traditional weavings. Other pieces inclue woven wire segments. Each design incorporates textures, motifs, and color combinations that reflect my interpretation of a particular place or culture. Each piece is uniquely individual.
