About Me:
I was introduced to jewelry making a few years ago by a good friend of mine and ever since I've been addicted to beads & silver! As I progress into different areas of jewelry making, I've found that I really enjoy working with a torch doing chain maille. I'll always be in love with beads, especially the earthy & chunky kinds! The funniest part of me making jewelry is that I don't really wear jewelry all that often.

Favorite Music:
Right now, my favorite play list is from a George Strait, Jimmy Buffett & Alan Jackson Live concert CD. It is great.
Favorite TV Shows:
The Office, My Name is Earl, Simpsons, Anything on the Discovery Channel or VH1
Favorite Movies
Any good romantic comedy, like Something's Gotta Give, When Harry Met Sally, etc. I generally like anything that is funny & uplifting. I have a hard time sitting through a suspense, thriller, or downer movie. I just can't spend 2 hours of my life crying over a movie. I want to laugh.

Flower & Byzantine Necklace

I really enjoyed making this piece after seeing a few other varieties of flowers on the Cagey Crafters Forum by Laurel Peters. This flower is soldered & hammered out of copper wire & sterling silver for the center. The chain is 20 ga. 2.75mm Byzantine weave with a handmade hook & eye clasp.

Hike on top of Mary's Peak

The kids & I drove up to the top of Mary's Peak last Saturday to meet my husband on top. He rode his bike up! Crazy man! It was a spectacular day and we did a little bit of hiking. On top (which is a large grassy meadow), you can see up to Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Hood, and down the Cascade volcanic peaks to the Three Sisters. In the distance is Mt. Hood.

Here we are above the clouds. On a clear day, you can see to the Pacific Ocean, which is about 35 mi

Day at the beach with the kids

I took the kids over to the coast on Tuesday and we had an awesome day. It was beautiful and they had fun playing in the sand & water (brrrrrr!). I'm truly blessed. School starts next week! Woohoo!

Hammered Links

I finished a batch of links this weekend and will be delivering them to the bead shop today. My first batch I took there last month sold out quickly, so I need to get moving and take more in! I finally have found my niche! Thank goodness! None of the other jewelry artists who consign at the shop do any soldered work or chain maille, so I think I'll stick with that style & my simple drop earrings that always are popular.

Thanks for the invite!
Nice links. I like to use links alot. But it is hard to find them, unless they are made into a necklace. I have actually bought necklaces and taken them apart to get the links. Thanks again, Gina

One week of summer left!!! The kids go back to school next week!!! Woohoo!!!

As for me, I'm working hard on getting more links & rings made for the bead shop & for my Etsy shop. Although it is quite time consuming and repetitive, they have been quite popular, especially at the bead shop. I've added some photos of my latest rings I just listed on Etsy. Pretty basic, but very useful in jewelry. Have a great day!
