About Me:
Making art glass beads is my "day job". My career as a glass bead artisan was sort of an accident, for lack of a better term. I lost my corporate sales job a year and half ago due to down-sizing. Although I was still a newbie beadmaker, I KNEW that may calling was in the glass arts. The passion that I felt at the torch, and the inspiration that flooded even the most obscure corners of my mind, helped me to know that the loss of my job was actually a blessing in disguise.

I think there is an old proverbial saying that goes something like, "If you do what you love as a living, you'll never work a day in your life." In my opinion, that ideology couldn't be more correct. . . I love that I what I do for a living.

Jewelry is another of my interests. While most of my focus is in the sale of loose lamwpork beads, I do enjoy making finished pieces when I have the time or inspiration to do so.

New Lampwork Beads "Pompeii Villa"

I have had such a rough time getting back into the swing of things in the new year. I have also been dealing with a creative block too, and have been over thinking concept and ideas. I couldn't help but to feel like I needed to work in some different colors.

My fingers hurt.

And it's not from wire wrapping or mandrel twisting. . .It's from playing Guitar Hero 3. Santa brought this game to my lovely 19 year old daughter, even though I am pretty sure that she was on his naughty list. Not that she is a bad kid or anything, she just fails to clean her room and seems to constantly be asking for $20 bucks even though she has a job. lol

I apologize for this boring rant, as I am pretty sure there is something more interesting that I could be talking about. You

Blogging. . .This could possibly be my only post.

Seriously, for me blogs are like a brand new toy. I blog for a few days and then leave my blog untouched for WEEKS. It is not that I dislike the task of writing. I actually rather enjoy it. I think that maybe I feel a little exposed by writing what is going on in my head at any given time. Ya know, this IS the internet. It's not like Vegas.

Nearly every time that I write, it has something to do with melting glass or making jewelry. I want to talk about other stuff. Perhaps maybe I shou
