Zosio: Your rivet is to long for the thickness of your metal. Check the thickness of your metal and then file down your rivet just a hair over the thickness. It's doesn't take much metal to hold.

Hi Doxallo: I love your work, so interesting and unique.
I have a question about your stone settings. Are you
using silver tubing for these small stone settings.
This is the part I couldn't explain before.
After I know that all the parts are soldered and holding strong, I saw the center X part of the prong wires
out. The square tubing gives me a good flat area to solder my band to.
If your interested I'll ...
Imagine the half round wire top piece which is the bottom piece in this picture is gone.
Imagine the prong wires are flat, originally they were straight and I bent them at a 45% angle.
Lightly soldered them together at the bend just enough to hold...
Most of my jewelry pieces are on Flickr.

I would like to only add new projects here for discussion.
At the moment I'm working on link chains using argentium.
Anyone interested.
Nice to see you here...I have long admired your work...have a couple of your books as well. I am here under two names, AM Designs, which is my business ID and beadyeyes which is the name I use on some of the forums I frequent. I am also the administrator of this site...If I can help in any way just let me know.
Linda, on your homepage should be a linnk to your 'groups' -- if you go there you should find the discussions...or maybe at the top of the home page there is a link for 'forums' if you go there I think there is a metalsmithing board - you should be able to find the messages there.
