Today I had lunch with my grandmother and my aunts and uncle on my father's side.

I'm from a broken home and I was mostly raised by my mother, and has occasional visits with my father. Because of this I don't see my paternal family much. So today's get together made me think about my cousins that I haven't seen in so long and it dawned on me that my dad is the only one of all the siblings who had children of both sexes. Saturday night I finally finished a bracelet that I'd been working with off and on for the past couple of weekends. I first learned this weave style from DC Wireworks. They have instructions for locking the single spiral weave and I made one of those. I worked the style into a non-spiral chain and added freshwater pearls and iolite rondelles in between the rings. I'm pretty happy with the outcome as this is the first time something came out ,as I envisioned it, on the first try.
